Lesson 14

– Equipping by Ian Andrews

Welcome back to Month 4 and week 2 and here is where I share all the good stuff that God has given me from Genesis 1 and Genesis 2 and Genesis 3.

In the beginning God, God was always there, He always will be there and He said “let there be evening and the morning in the first study. And since God doesn’t view things like we do and there’s a very real reason for this. God want”s us to be renewed in the spirit of our mind, God wants us to think like He thinks and God wants us to communicate and fellowship and be able to contact Him.

In Genesis Chapter 2, there are two trees in the Garden of Eden and it is this that I really want you to grasp. God did not say we cannot eat from the Tree of Llfe , He just said to Adam I want you to enjoy my presence, I want you to fulfill my purposes but, of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, thou shall not eat that, in the day that you do it you will surely die.

And so God did not want Adam and Eve to feed on that tree. That tree produces two fruits, the knowledge of good and the knowledge of bad. God never intended us to know that kind of knowledge. He wanted us to know him.

We couldn’t eat the Tree of Life  because Adam and Eve fell in Chapter 3, they, Eve had a conversation with the Devil, the serpent. And the serpent said to her you will not surely die. This is the Devil’s method, first of all to cause us to doubt what God says. I learned many years ago, 43 years ago now, doubt your doubts and that is a real theological statement that not all people make, doubt your doubts. When you doubt someday you will be healed, doubt that doubt and you will find God is at the other end.

They took up the fruit and ate it. And then she knew she was naked and Adam knew he was naked. They were naked but they were clothed in the glory of God in Chapter 2, that covering left and they then start to do it themselves. And so they got fig leaves together, that’s a large leaf with its small holes in leaf it’s not really suitable to make a bikini. But that was their idea of covering up their intimate parts.

God’s idea was far beyond that and He want to give them clothes of skin. What I really want you to notice in these passages is that God did not reject them, they became afraid of God. In Chapter 3,

God came for fellowship as usual and He said “Adam where are you?”. Adam said, I was afraid because I was naked and I hid myself and they became afraid of God.

Jesus is described in the New Testament as the last Adam, and I want you to see and realize that He, as the last Adam put the fruit back on the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. He was born out of wed lock, but He didn’t judge is this good or this is evil. He was a refugee but He never judged is this good or bad. When it comes to the miracles He never thought in a natural view point, this is impossible because He was in fellowship with God and with God all things are possible.

We are looking together at Genesis Chapters 1, 2 & 3

Helping YOU to fulfill your destiny

Lesson 10

– Equipping by Ian Andrews

I want to welcome you to Month 3 and week 2. And this is where I get to share some of the good things that God showed me about these passages with regard to covenant. I based my whole ministry on the fact that I have a covenant with God. So it’s a foundation stone, it’s tremendously important that you understand the covenant. Covenant in the western world, the closest thing we have is a marriage. We’ve agreed to certain things and both people covenant. But at the first sign of any trouble people break covenant they bail out of the covenant, so it really doesn’t mean very much. To the Native American people it means a lot more. What they basically do is to cut each other’s palm and mix the blood between the two palms rather like the exchanging of rings is supposed to means the same thing, no beginning and no ending. And once they make a blood covenant that is the strongest relationship that you can ever enter into. You agree to lay down your life for the other person, you will be there for them should you they ever need them. Now to get back to Genesis, Chapter 15 and understand it God the father has said to Abraham, you passed the test, you’ve been on the journey of faith, I want to reward you, I want to give you a son. So Abraham says, so how will this thing be? And then what happens, Abraham is told to prepare a sacrifice. And he prepares a lamb, he cut down it the middle and they form a figure of 8, which is the number of God. Abraham then is put into a deep sleep, when he is in the deep sleep he sees a burning lamb past between the pieces, and covenant is made. The covenant is made by the burning lamp that passes between the pieces. Jesus is called the light of the world and he is a picture of this burning lamp passing between the pieces. Therefore the covenant is made between God the father and God the son. And we are the beneficiaries once you understand that you are well underway to fulfilling your destiny.

[jwplayer file=”month3-week2-2.mp3″ streamer=”rtmp://s3o3enl0e5m4mj.cloudfront.net/cfx/st” provider=”rtmp” html5_file=”http://d4wkh2ongm4sv.cloudfront.net/month3-week2-2.mp3″ width=”360″ height=”25″ autoplay=’false’ vol=’100′ vol=’100′]

Here is the final chapter that I wanted you to read last week. It was II Samuel chapter 9. Saul is dead, David is King and David says to his servant is there anyone alive from Saul’s household, that I can show kindness to them for Jonathan’s sake. Every time you read the word kindness in the Bible in the Old Testament it’s the word checedh and what it means is the covenant favor of God, that it’s covenant, it’s not just a good feeling of kindness, it’s an absolute certainty and a responsibility that David felt toward Jonathan because of his covenant relationship. And God feels the same to us because of our covenant relationship with him. And somebody from Jonathan has also said well he has a son but when they were fleeing the actual nursemaid drop the son and he is lamed, he is a cripple, his name is Mephiboshet. When you look by that that, you will find that name means ‘the end of all shame’. King David said that all over the kingdom and discovered that this man was living in a small cottage in a place called Lodebar and Lodebar by interpretation means ‘a load of nothing’, ‘a load of nothingness’. So here is a covenant beneficiary of Jonathan’s and he’s not living in any of the covenant provision that has already been made for him. King David sends his troupes and you can imagine the anguish of this crippled man called Mephiboshet because he hears the chariot arrive outside, he hears the front door of the cottage being banged on, he hears the soldiers come in and he thinks, “well this is the end of my life because I have always heard from Saul that David hates him and he hates David and if I fall in the hands of David I will be killed”. On the contrary he’s taken into the palace, he is given the finest treatment and David sits him down at the King’s table and he sees the mark on David’s thumb or in David’s hand and he begins to understand that this King must have made a covenant with Jonathan. This is what David says to Mephiboshet you can have all that I have and the half of my kingdom. This is what covenant means. But the tragic last verse says he was lame to his dying day because that covenant did not include healing. The new covenant that we’re in does include healing. Helping you into your destiny.

Helping YOU to fulfill your destiny

Lesson 9

Welcome to month 3.

This month we will study about covenant and what that means to us.

In the first passage we examine how God related to Abraham, in order to grant him a miracle in his life.

I want to welcome you to month 3 and the scriptures for this month, from various parts of the bible. In the first introduction I want you to go over Genesis Chapter 15 again. God has provided Abraham with a huge possibility of a major miracle, like he will become a father not just a son of the nation. And so Abraham asked a question in Genesis 15, he says, how will this thing be, how will he manage to do this. Well from there to the end of the chapters, what I really want you to and I want you to look into, what actually is happening here. It’s to do with covenant I will give you a clue, and the covenant between who is very very important. And the fact that Abraham put to sleep before deep sleep, means that he is put into rest, so that he basically is not part of the covenant just a beneficiary. That’s where I want you to look first of all. Helping you into your destiny.

[jwplayer file=”month3-week1-1.mp3″ streamer=”rtmp://s3o3enl0e5m4mj.cloudfront.net/cfx/st” provider=”rtmp” html5_file=”http://d4wkh2ongm4sv.cloudfront.net/month3-week1-1.mp3″ width=”360″ height=”25″ autoplay=’false’ vol=’150′ vol=’150′]

In the second study, we will be looking deeper into a covenant which was made between David and Johnathon in the old testament

The second portion of scripture you will find in 1 Samuel, Chapter 18 verses 1-4.

As you already know Jonathan is the son of Saul who is the current King. And he makes a covenant with his brother David.

David is Saul’s sworn enemy and Saul would like to kill David. Jonathan is Saul’s son and yet Jonathan and David make a covenant.

Have a look at the terms of covenant. Jonathan took off his robe and gave it to David and he took off his armor and gave it, he took off his sword and gave it and he took off his belt and gave it to David.

What does this really mean, what is the significance of this?

Pray into this , investigate it and I’ll come back to you next week with what God has shown me about this.

Helping YOU to fulfill your destiny.

[jwplayer file=”month3-week1-2.mp3″ streamer=”rtmp://s3o3enl0e5m4mj.cloudfront.net/cfx/st” provider=”rtmp” html5_file=”http://d4wkh2ongm4sv.cloudfront.net/month3-week1-2.mp3″ width=”360″ height=”25″ autoplay=’false’ vol=’100′ vol=’100′]

In this last passage we look at the beneficiary aspect of covenant.
Here is the last set of scriptures that I would like you to peruse, read study and pray over and see what God shows you about them and they are to be found in 2 Samuel, second Samuel the whole of chapter 9.  As you read through this discover that Saul had a son called Mephiboshet, if you know what that name means, I will advise you to look it up in a concordance and I will be back to share with you next week, all the things that God has shown me with regards to these three passages. Helping you into your destiny.

Lesson 6

– Equipping by Ian Andrews

We are all “children of Abraham” according to the scriptures and it is important to us what God spoke to him. God said that he would bless him and in turn he would be a blessing to others and that he would become a father of nations.

To Abraham that must have seemed ridiculous as he was over 70 years old, his body was considered dead and he had no children or heirs, so how could this happen? Abraham it is written “believed God” and we are called to follow after him and believe God in the face of impossibilities.

Lot wanted the best land and Abraham gave it to him willingly as he knew that he would be blessed anyway. The bible says that is is impossible but offences will come, however you the Mentorees must never get offended or defend yourselves. If someone wants to take the glory or credit, let them . For it is written in Matthew “Blessed is the man who is never offended in Me”

Notice when God blesses you He will want to meet your “deepest need” and it might take time ! Abraham waited 25 years! but you need to renew your mind to accept what God wants to do AND get that thought down deep in your hearts so that it is no longer a mind trip or mental acceptance but a heart and soul engagement as well. That is why God told Abraham to count the stars! After counting God spoke again and said you will have more children than stars – what actually happened ; Abraham probably teared up in his eyes and “saw” babies faces shining down on him !!

In chapter 12 we examine the promises of God to Abraham

[jwplayer file=”month2-week2.mp3″ streamer=”rtmp://s3o3enl0e5m4mj.cloudfront.net/cfx/st” provider=”rtmp” html5_file=”http://d4wkh2ongm4sv.cloudfront.net/month2-week2.mp3″ width=”360″ height=”25″ autoplay=’false’ vol=’100′ vol=’100′]

Whenever God promises blessing the enemy will come to try to steal

You must accept that you WILL have failures , this is how to deal with them

[jwplayer file=”month2-week2-3.mp3″ streamer=”rtmp://s3o3enl0e5m4mj.cloudfront.net/cfx/st” provider=”rtmp” html5_file=”http://d4wkh2ongm4sv.cloudfront.net/month2-week2-3.mp3″ width=”360″ height=”25″ autoplay=’false’ vol=’100′ vol=’100′]

In chapter 13 we see how God blesses Abraham

[jwplayer file=”month2-week2-4.mp3″ streamer=”rtmp://s3o3enl0e5m4mj.cloudfront.net/cfx/st” provider=”rtmp” html5_file=”http://d4wkh2ongm4sv.cloudfront.net/month2-week2-4.mp3″ width=”360″ height=”25″ autoplay=’false’ vol=’100′ vol=’100′]

There is power in your own household, it is not always the famous name!

[jwplayer file=”month2-week2-5.mp3″ streamer=”rtmp://s3o3enl0e5m4mj.cloudfront.net/cfx/st” provider=”rtmp” html5_file=”http://d4wkh2ongm4sv.cloudfront.net/month2-week2-5.mp3″ width=”360″ height=”25″ autoplay=’false’ vol=’100′ vol=’100′]

In chapter 14 all the goods and people that had been stolen are returned

[jwplayer file=”month2-week2-6.mp3″ streamer=”rtmp://s3o3enl0e5m4mj.cloudfront.net/cfx/st” provider=”rtmp” html5_file=”http://d4wkh2ongm4sv.cloudfront.net/month2-week2-6.mp3″ width=”360″ height=”25″ autoplay=’false’ vol=’100′ vol=’100′]

Give ALL the glory to God!

[jwplayer file=”month2-week2-7.mp3″ streamer=”rtmp://s3o3enl0e5m4mj.cloudfront.net/cfx/st” provider=”rtmp” html5_file=”http://d4wkh2ongm4sv.cloudfront.net/month2-week2-7.mp3″ width=”360″ height=”25″ autoplay=’false’ vol=’100′ vol=’100′]

God deals with us through Covenant, He made it and we are the beneficiaries!

Lesson 5

Genesis chapters 12,13,14 & 15

These are the passages that describe God’s dealings with Abraham ad I am sure that on reading you see a mirror image in the ways that God has led you !

Try to see what God promised Abraham, and what was required of him to receive that promise.

What was the final test, in these passages, before the true blessing came to Abraham?
